From Fried to Flourishing:
How to ReBalance Your Life – A Group for Women at Mid Life
Wednesday Evenings 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm EST
April 10 – May 29, 2024
Do you struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself and others? Do you put your needs at the bottom of the to-do list? Do you wonder if life should feel somehow better? Are you questioning your purpose and life goals?
Now more than ever, women are feeling anxious, overwhelmed and uncertain about how they are supposed to manage their relationships, careers and their lives. Pushing away your needs and not taking time for yourself can lead to long-term issues for your mind and body. I believe it shouldn’t be so hard to live a better life.
This support group is aimed at enhancing the life of women over the age of 45. Led by a Psychotherapist using a Cognitive Behavioural model (CBT), will help facilitate discussions, focused exercises and supportive reflections on the life you have lived so far, and start helping you design how you would like the second half of life to be. This group will teach you how to cope with changes, and transitions that may happen at this age like divorce, health challenges, and the end of parenting. This program aims to help participants to explore their own core beliefs, and thoughts and learn how these can be used to change current patterns of behaviour. It will include how to build your own wellness plan and put in place action plans for a more resilient and healthier you!
- Learn the effects of stress on mental and physical health
- Learn common CBT and mindfulness tools for managing negative thoughts and limiting beliefs.
- Relate, share, and gain tips from others in a safe and open environment
- Develop coping strategies, build resilience, and develop tools to cope with stress.
- Develop an individualized wellness plan.
