This experience enables me to bring clarity to caregivers, and provide the support needed to process and cope with the unique living losses of this journey.
My Qualifications:

- Certificate – Grief and Bereavement (UofT)
- Specialized training from Mount Sinai Hospital’s Reitman Centre for Alzheimer’s Support

The task of taking on the role of caregiver for your aging parents can be uniquely challenging.
Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and other cognitive impairments can cause a unique stress upon families. For the adult children who are caring for their own children, working full time jobs, and juggling multiple tasks, taking on the role of caring for their aging parents can be uniquely challenging. You are the child yet an adult.
Using a Problem Solving Approach along with Talk Therapy, I will teach the caregiver to manage stress, build resiliency, learn to cope with the health changes, and move through grief and loss. Using Mindfulness and Breath Work you will learn how to regulate emotions and ground yourself to what is.
My extensive experience and education in social work can help you navigate the complex health care systems, long term care and home care options and gather resources to help you better understand how to avert potential crisis situations. Let’s work on a care plan that is right for your unique needs and values.
